They
venture where angels fear to tread - (The Asian Age, 3 August,1998)
|
Kush
and Anuradha already have an album to their credit, titled Aap
Ka Shukriya. Kush himself composed the
music. There are three musical albums in the offing - a collection of ghazals
in Bengali, a pop album in Bengali, a fusion of Bengali modern songs and
ghazal / geet numbers.
The
couple is waiting a good break to compose music for big or small screens.
And one can bet that they would not have to wait for long.

Singing
to West Asian ears - (Saturday Statesman, 1996)
|
When
ghazal duo Kush and Anuradha found Calcutta and Mumbai too hot to handle,
they moved to Dubai to find their pot of gold.
Kush
and Anuradha have survived. Which they attribute to variety. They have
performed in Muscat, Canada, Singapore and East Africa. In India, they
have travelled extensively and entertained connoisseurs of ghazals, geet
and hindi songs. The duo are confident that ghazals have listeners.Versatility
is their hallmark.

Local
Talent - A review of 'Nazar' - (Gulf News, Dubai)
|
Kush
and Anuradha -- the singing couple from our own backyard- come through
with flying colours. The singing is impressive and the tunes are expressive.
The focus is more on Anuradha's vocal and she definitely has talent to
carry these ghazals through. Har pal kisi
ki and Youn
justuju-e-yaar are the stand-outs. Kush
steals the show in the best ghazal of the album - Purani
talakh.

A
dream come true - (Khaleej Times, Dubai)
|
Kush
and Anuradha have been singing at the Astoria Hotel's Curry House(Dubai)
for years. Married for 19 years they have evolved their own singing style
and a distinct fan following. While they sing popular songs-- everything
from ghazals to pop and hindi film numbers-- they also sing Kush's own
composition.
"We
have our commited listeners, lovers of music who come back again and again
and who invite us to sing at various function," he explains. They have
also sung across the Continents of Asia, Africa, Europe and also in India
and will be spending New Year's Eve at Nairobi, invited to sing by a community
club.
Kush
is refreshingly honest and upfront, with no pretentions and very clear
answers about his career and talent.
